
Weather in the Minden area could be making news over the next few days with a chance for a wintry mix of precipitation late Sunday through Monday, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Shreveport.
After a partly sunny day with a high near 40 on Sunday, predictions call for a chance of rain, freezing rain, and sleet before midnight Sunday night with a chance of freezing rain and sleet. A low around 22 with precipitation chances of 40 percent are predicted.
On Monday, forecasters say there will be a chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet. Mostly cloudy skies are predicted, with a high near 27 degrees and a 40 percent chance of winter precipitation.
There’s a slight chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet before midnight Monday night with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 13 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Forecasters say skies should be clearing Tuesday with a high near 28 degrees and overnight lows again around 13 degrees. Wednesday is predicted to be sunny with highs in the low 40s.
