If you are looking to sponsor ducks for the derby, today (Thursday, May 30) is the last day sponsorships are being accepted by the Greater Minden Chamber of Commerce.

CEO Stephanie Barnette said tickets for the Duck Derby are on sale now. “We are accepting craft/homemade vendors this year as well,” she said. “All of that information can be found on our website.”

Attendees can expect the kids’ parade to return this year.

“We’ll have water slides and kids activities and contests,” Barnette continued. “We’ll have music, and a few food trucks, as well as all of our downtown restaurants will be open.”

Fireworks will take place at 9 p.m.

“We are working on a few new fun things to add this year as well as finalizing our celebrity food-eating contest. It’s shaping up to be another fun year,” said Barnette.
