Pitching Impressive As Lakeside Warriors Beat North Webster

Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but Lakeside  Warriors defeated North Webster 3-0 Tuesday. Hayden Williams started the game for Lakeside  Warriors and recorded 15 outs. A walk by Noah Redding put Lakeside  Warriors on the board in the bottom of the first. Williams earned the win for Lakeside  Warriors. The righty surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking none.

North Webster’s starting pitcher went four innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on one hit, striking out two and walking six. Kaleb Rolen led Lakeside  Warriors with one hit in two at bats. Redding paced Lakeside  Warriors with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game.

Jake Glass and Eric Jones each stole multiple bases for Lakeside  Warriors. Lakeside  Warriors ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. Lakeside  Warriors were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Brock Case had the most chances in the field with 11.

Three Knights each collected one hit for North Webster. North Webster turned one double play in the game.

Lakeside  Warriors easily dispatched North Webster in the second game Tuesday, 15-7. Lakeside  Warriors got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after North Webster committed 2 errors, Drake Chreene singled, and Brock Case stole home, each scoring one run.

North Webster scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning, with a singl, scoring three runs, and another single scoring two runs.

Lakeside  Warriors scored seven runs on six hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Jon Jon Dick tripled, scoring two runs, Gage Williams singled, scoring one run, Chreene singled, scoring one run, Hayden Williams singled, scoring one run, and Noah Redding doubled, scoring two runs.

Case earned the win for Lakeside  Warriors. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking two.

North Webster’s pitcher went six innings, giving up 15 runs (nine earned) on 12 hits, striking out one and walking four.

Eli Campbell pitched two innings of zero-run ball for Lakeside  Warriors in relief. He allowed two hits, striking out one and walking none. Lakeside amassed 12 hits in the game. Williams, Jake Glass, Chreene, and Williams each collected two hits for Lakeside  Warriors. Williams, Dick, Redding, and Chreene each drove in two runs for Lakeside  Warriors.

Dick and Case each stole multiple bases for Lakeside  Warriors. Lakeside  Warriors stole nine bases in the game. North Webster collected nine hits in the game. One player led North Webster with four runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Three Knights each collected two hits.
