An annual membership drive began Thursday and will run through August 21 for Webster Parish Council on Aging. All who live in Webster Parish – 18 years of age and older – can register for a free membership for life. To obtain a membership application, contact WPCOA at 318-371-3056 or go to 1482 Sheppard Street, Minden weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Members can eat lunch five days a week, and non-seniors can join in by paying $4 per meal. Also, home delivered meals, recreation, homemaker services, caregiver support and other information resources are available.

The Council is a private, non-profit Organization, chartered by the state in 1960. Funds for the services are obtained from federal, state, local services and contributions received from participants in the program.  Donations are placed back into the programs to extend and improve the services.
