Springhill police have arrested an 18-year-old local man for his part in a Sept. 17 drive-by shooting incident where shots were fired into a Springhill residence.
Springhill Chief of Police Will Lynd said Tyrese Johnson, a resident of the 100 block of Hickory St. in Springhill was picked up Friday (Sept. 27) on warrants charging him with assault by drive-by shooting and illegal use of a weapon during a crime of violence. Total bond has been set at $100,000.
Investigators said no one was inside the home at the time shots were fired.
Springhill PD Det. Rodney Hile said the arrest of Johnson puts three suspects in the incident in custody.
“Our interviews with witnesses and a continued investigation helped us identify the alleged shooters. We now have all of them in custody,” he said.
This information has been provided by a law enforcement agency as public information. Persons named as suspects in a criminal investigation, or arrested and charged with a crime, have not been convicted of any criminal offense and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
