Owners of Ludas Magnus Tactical, Michael and Opal Beckworth, were joined by the Greater Minden Chamber and supporters for a ribbon cutting celebration last week.
The new location at 194 Pero Church Road in Sibley offers a wide variety of firearms, including specialized firearms that are manufactured locally, tactical gear and training.
Michael served with the 1/75th Ranger Battalion Special Operations and expressed his desire to use the knowledge he acquired in the field to train others.
“We also have a shooting range out here where we can work with people and train them how to use firearms. One of the important things to us is firearm safety and we know that there is no concealed carry and there are people that are concealed carry and that don’t have proper training, and we try to alleviate that,” said Beckworth. “We want people to be trained on their firearms and know what the right thing to do and try to keep it out of harm of children and other personnel.
The Beckworths are also working closely with the Veterans Affairs (VA) office.
“We are part of a program called taps if a veteran is not doing well or if they need help, they can come here and can store their firearms at no cost.”
