Charlene Wainscot was the lucky winner in the Minden Civitan gun raffle, but some area children will ultimately be the real winners. This year’s gun was a Savage 30/06 with a Weaver scope. The Civitans hold a gun raffle each year to raise money to buy toys for needy kids through the Civitan Santa program. More than 200 kids in the Minden area will have a great Christmas as they open presents and gifts from Santa.
