After nearly two weeks off for the holidays, the Doyline boy’s basketball team travelled to North DeSoto on Tuesday and brought home the win against the 4A Griffins (65-58).

The Panthers were led by their guards, Senior, Damarion “Tamp” McLendon, with 25 points and Sophomore, Jay Patterson, with 16 points. Followed closely by DJ Webb putting up 12 points.

When asked for his take on the game, Coach Normand said, “Coming off the break we lacked some of the things you’d expect.” He said it is common to have to rebuild routine habits after a holiday but “When it’s all said and done we got the W on the road versus a larger school, and that’s what our goal was when we got on the bus.”

Doyline was scheduled to face North DeSoto again at home tonight but due to the inclement weather that game has been postponed until further notice.
