The Young Women’s Service Club (YWSC) is excited to see who will be crowned as the 2025 Miss Outstanding Teen and Miss Minden on Saturday, January 18. The scholarship competition will begin at 7 p.m. at the Minden High School Auditorium.  

The Webster Parish Journal is happy to highlight each of the women who will be competing for a 2025 title. The second contender that will be competing for a $2,000 scholarship that can be used to further her education and a chance to compete for a Miss Louisiana title later this year is Jolie Ortego.  

Ortego is a sophomore at Stephen F. Austin college where she is a member of the Chi Omega fraternity. She also spends her time serving with the Lumberjack Delegates, Pre-Law Society and working for Legends Nacogdoches.  

She loves participating in 5K events in her spare time and is currently preparing to take the LSATs.
