It was a softball game, but the final score was a little more football-like as the Minden Lady Tiders hammered Southwood’s Lady Cowboys 21-0 Monday.

Leigha Kennon Gilbert led the way for the Lady Tiders with two hits (double, triple) and five RBI. Lindsay Ryan, Lizzie Balkom and Gracie Sparks also had two hits apiece.

Minden wasted no time in putting away the Lady Cowboys, scoring 18 runs on eight hits in the second inning. The Lady Tiders would collect 10 hits in the game.

Roikia Dotie had three walks as the Lady Tiders worked Lady Cowboy pitchers for seven free passes. Minden also had five stolen bases in the game, and did not have an error.

Next opponent for the Lady Tiders will be Doyline’s Lady Panthers who will come calling Friday.
