Although at least one nearby parish is under a burn ban, Webster is not. However, according to National Weather Service, Webster is one of the parishes that falls under a wind advisory.

Executive Director of Webster Parish Homeland Security Brian Williams said none of the parish fire chiefs have requested a burn ban yet.

“Due to the windy conditions, we just advise everyone not to burn,” Williams said.
