Springhill man arrested on trio of serious charges

A 26-year-old Springhill man is looking at a trio of serious charges after he allegedly attacked a woman and took her vehicle just before 2 a.m. Thursday.

According to arrest report information, Cartavious Monte Webb is charged with domestic abuse battery, home invasion and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. No bond has been set.

Webster Parish deputy Daniel Dooly reportedly learned from the victim that Webb allegedly broke into her Red Bud Lane home and began shoving her down the hallway. He then allegedly began placing items in her vehicle, returned inside and began assaulting the female.

Webb then allegedly drove to a Cobb St. address in Springhill where officers found him and made the arrest.

This information has been provided by a law enforcement agency as public information. Persons named as suspects in a criminal investigation, or arrested and charged with a crime, have not been convicted of any criminal offense and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
