An argument inside a north Webster Parish residence Friday, May 2, became physical and has landed a Springhill man in the parish prison after he allegedly choked a woman.
Sheriff Jason Parker said Randy D. Dyck, Jr., 36, a resident of the 700 block Curry St., is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center facing a charge of domestic abuse battery. His bond reportedly has been set at $10,000.
Parker said deputies Michael Dickey and J.C. Brown were dispatched to a residence in the 22000 block of Hwy. 371 where the victim told them Dyck had placed his hands around her neck after she demanded he leave.
Deputies reportedly observed “red physical” marks on the victim’s neck as a result of the alleged attack.
Dyck reportedly had left the scene before deputies arrived, but was later found at an apartment complex in Cotton Valley where he was taken into custody. During questioning, Dyck reportedly admitted he had placed his hands around the victim’s neck.
