An argument between family members escalated to violence and a Doyline woman is in custody facing charges of cruelty to juveniles and domestic abuse aggravated assault with child endangerment.

Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker said deputies were called just before 1 p.m. Thursday to check reports of a disturbance at a Shiloh Rd. residence.

When deputies arrived, they learned 35-year-old Nunhdi G. Kennon had become involved in a physical confrontation with her father.

Deputies were told Kennon and her father were arguing when she allegedly threw a glass plate that struck her young daughter. Kennon then allegedly picked up two kitchen knives and advanced toward her father.

Deputies reported the father successfully forced Kennon to drop the knives, and she reportedly called 911. Kennon is currently being held in the parish jail. No bond has been set.
