A 32-year-old Minden man is in custody after a physical confrontation with his girlfriend at a residence in the 600 block of Constable St.
Minden Chief of Police Jared McIver said Jeremy L. Clark has been charged with domestic abuse battery in the incident. He is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center under a $10,000 bond.
Investigating officers said Clark allegedly became verbally and physically violent, slapping the woman. When the victim reportedly attempted to defend herself by tossing a board at him, Clark allegedly threw the board and hit her in the back of the head.
Officers said the victim reportedly obtained a BB gun and fired at Clark, but he continued to throw objects at her as she retreated into the residence.
Investigators said the female had a bruise and swelling on the back of her head plus bruises to her chest, arms and legs from the alleged attack.
