What does it mean to worry?
To overthink something, to be overwhelmed about something we can’t control or do anything about. Worry leads to fear, and God did not give us the spirit of fear.
Matthew 6:34, “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
To worry is the opposite in trusting God. Worry doesn’t change anything, but prayer and trusting God do.
We have to trust God and allow him to lead the way each and every day.
Worry leads to unease feelings that cause anxiety, headaches, confusion, stress, depression, sadness, and much more.
We can’t allow anything or anyone to stress us out.
Unnecessary stress can cause us to start worrying if we don’t recognize it and allow God to take total control over every area of our lives.
Many people quote we are too blessed to be stressed, this is true!
But can I be honest with you, every one of us faces some type of stress in our lives.
It’s how we deal with it that makes the difference. We must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He is the only one that can give us a peace that passeth all understanding.
He’s the only one that can speak peace be still and there will be a great calming.
You might say, how do I stop worrying?
Well, I’m glad you asked. We must trust God, meditate on his goodness, read and study his word. Pray without ceasing.
We must shift our focus to the present, not worrying about tomorrow.
We may not be able to stop trouble in the world, or trouble in our lives, but one thing we do not have to do is worry about it, because God is in control. We must trust God and stand on his word.
God’s word is true, no matter who disagrees!! If God said it, then it’s true. We can’t add nor take away from His word.
We have to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness first, and all these things will be added to thee.
Many times, we overthink circumstances and situations in our lives because we try to figure things out and see ahead our way, but God is the only one who can see ahead.
He wants the best for his children. Overthinking leads to worrying, fear, and unhealthy thoughts. Worrying about things doesn’t change anything, but praying and having faith in God will change everything in the right season.
God did not create us to worry, but to trust and worship him.
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you,”
This means to relieve your worries by trusting in God’s care and power.
Give your worries and stress to God, who will handle them and provide for you. We can’t worry and trust God at the same time.
God is pleased when we can trust Him in the valley as well as on the mountain top. We must trust God, even when we don’t always understand.
Prayer: Father God, we thank you for your grace and mercy, we humbly ask you to forgive us for our sins known and unknown. Help us to trust you and have faith as you lead us day by day. In Jesus Name’ Amen.
