(Editor’s Note: During all college sports, the Culverhouse household cheers for Arkansas and LSU in their perspective games. However, in a case like this weekend, the above flag flies at our home. May the better team win!)
LSU and Arkansas will face-off at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 14 in the College World Series. It will be televised on ESPN.
The Tigers (48-15) took two of three games from the Razorbacks when the two teams faced off in Southeastern Conference play in Baton Rouge on May 9-11. LSU won the first two games, 5-4 and 13-3, before Arkansas avoided the sweep with a 7-4 victory in Game 3.
Arkansas (48-13) put up a perfect mark in the regional round and swept Tennessee in the Fayetteville super regional to advance to the CWS.
LSU had a bumpy route through the regional round, losing once to Little Rock, before easily rolling past West Virginia in the Baton Rouge Regional, 16-9 and 12-5.
LSU has been to the CWS 20 times while the Razorbacks are making their 12th trip to Omaha.
