A Dubberly man has been indicted by a Webster Parish grand jury on a second degree murder charge in connection with the March, 2022 disappearance of a Texas woman.

Allton Cravens, 42, a resident of the 100 block of Sand Plant Rd. in Dubberly, was also indicted for obstruction of justice and is currently being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. His bond has been set at $500,000.

Cravens was first arrested in 2023 and charged in the disappearance of then 30-year-old Darnesha Thompson. Thompson, a mother of two, was visiting the area when she was reported missing. Her body has not been found.

Major Bobby Igo III, head of the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigative Division, said Det. Karen McDonald “…worked very hard, day and night on this case. She was relentless. She deserves lots of credit for her efforts.”
