With a passion for purpose and a heart for empowering young women, Kayla Rodriguez has officially stepped into her newest role as the State Director for Miss Louisiana Volunteer—and she’s bringing bold vision, heartfelt leadership, and a fresh perspective to the beloved scholarship-based pageant system.

“I’m Kayla,” she said in a recent announcement that’s already generating buzz across Louisiana. “A wife, a mom, a doer, a believer in big dreams… and now, the new State Director for Miss Louisiana Volunteer.”

This moment, she says, feels “full circle.” Her introduction reflects more than just a new title—it signals the beginning of a new chapter for young women across the state.

“I fell in love with the Miss Volunteer America system because it’s everything I wish existed when I was a young woman,” Kayla shared. “It’s not just about crowns and gowns. It’s about launching leaders.”

Rooted in the four pillars of scholarship, service, style, and purpose, the Miss Volunteer America organization stands out in the world of pageantry. But in Louisiana, it’s about more than just national values—it’s about honoring legacy and building something extraordinary.

“Years ago, Mrs. Ann Harmon brought this incredible system to Louisiana, planting the seeds of something truly meaningful,” Kayla said. “Now, I get the honor of watering it, breathing new life into her legacy while building a stage that reflects the power and potential of the girls who stand on it.”

With applications now open for the Miss, Teen, and Teen Princess divisions, the first official competition under Kayla’s leadership is set for November 6–8, 2025, in Minden, Louisiana.

“What we’re building here is intentional. It’s fresh. It’s bold. And most of all… it’s for you,” she said. “Louisiana girls deserve a pageant experience that feels first-class. A stage that stretches them, celebrates them, and reminds them just how powerful they are.”

Kayla’s vision goes far beyond the pageant weekend. She hopes to create an environment that supports personal growth, confidence, leadership, and lifelong connections.

“We’re not just crowning two titleholders this fall… we’re creating something that will leave every single young woman who participates forever changed,” she said. “This isn’t just a pageant. It’s a chance to rise. To grow. To step into your full potential.”

For young women across the state who feel the call to step into something bigger, Kayla has one simple message: “Trust it.”

With fresh leadership, renewed purpose, and a heart for the next generation, the Miss Louisiana Volunteer pageant is entering a transformative new era—one that promises to inspire and empower Louisiana girls for years to come.
