Let the fun begin: Bites and Beats at Miller Quarters Park is for the community

By Paige Gurgainers

The City of Minden hosted their monthly “Bites and Beats” event Thursday evening at Miller Quarters Park in downtown Minden. The community came out and enjoyed an evening of food, music and a foam party. This free event is designed to bring neighbors together for a night of fellowship under the lights and live tunes.

A variety of food trucks were on-site offering everything from savory eats to sweet treats, giving attendees a chance to sample popular local favorites. Entertainment included live music by “The Lovers Band.”

City of Minden officials say Bites and Beats is part of an ongoing effort to create fun, safe and inclusive events that build community pride and support local businesses. They will be hosting this event every third Thursday through the month of October. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and an appetite for good food and good vibes.
