A Webster Parish man is currently locked up in the parish prison charged with first degree rape involving an incident where the victim is under the age of 12.
Sheriff Jason Parker said 21-year-old Zachery Lee Miller, a resident of the 1200 block of Evergreen Rd., was arrested Wednesday on a warrant. Miller is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center facing a $500,000 bond.
Parker said WPSO Det. Karen McDonald made the arrest following her investigation which included interviews conducted at Shreveport’s Gingerbread House.
“Detective McDonald did an excellent job in what is a very sensitive situation,” Parker said. “She put together a solid case in a short time. The Gingerbread House staff was a critical part of the solution.”
