We are getting the usual calls for flea and tick problems now.  It’s a common problem for this time of the year.  Bifen mixed with IGR seems to be the best solution.  Bifen comes in liquid and granular form.  Mix the liquid 1 oz per gallon with 1 oz of IGR and spray away. 

 

The IGR Regulator is an insect growth regulator.  The IGR prevents adult fleas from developing.  This will gradually result in the reduction and eventually eliminate the flea population.  You can use IGR and bifen both inside and out.   Bifen is one of the newer chemicals out and does a really good job on most anything.  It is not labeled for gardens though.

 

FYI for the deer hunters, we are preparing for the hunt as fast as we can.  I’ve been booking seed and trying to find the new attractants.  It looks like tubs of different kinds have been good.  Guys, lets don’t forget to teach the kids about the outdoors,  Hunting and fishing are great ways to get the kids out of the house and the computers. 

 

Even you a preparing the food plots you can use this as a great educational project.  They can watch it grow and learn the different varieties of plants that do well here.  Always remember the kids are watching everything that you do.
