Major Bobby Igo III, head of the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Division, has been named 2025 Supervisor of the Year by the Louisiana Narcotics Officers Association.
Igo received the honor during the LNOA’s annual training conference held Aug. 11-15 in New Orleans.
In Igo’s nomination letter, he was described as “…a remarkable mentor who maintains an open-door policy, consistently making himself available to provide guidance and help resolve challenges faced during complex investigations.”
Since assuming the role of Major, “his team has successfully seized several kilograms of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana along with thousands of fentanyl pills,” the letter added.
“These efforts have resulted in numerous state and federal arrests leading to long-term sentences for drug traffickers who had operated in Webster Parish, and his leadership has had a profound impact on curbing the flow of illegal narcotics in our community.”
Igo’s nomination letter also said he “…consistently puts his team before himself. He promotes and mentors those he leads, always emphasizing that each successful investigation is the result of a team effort.”
Igo has served 19 and a half years in the Sheriff’s Office from patrol officer to narcotics investigator. He was promoted to Major one year ago. He also serves as Director of Region 1 of the LNOA which includes Caddo, Bossier, Claiborne, Bienville, Red River, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Sabine and Webster parishes.
“We are very proud of what Major Igo and his team has accomplished in getting drugs and dealers off the streets,” Sheriff Jason Parker said. “Their work has extended well beyond Webster Parish and their reputation is very well respected by other parish, state and federal law enforcement agencies.”
Also during the annual conference, WPSO Det. Sgt. Josh McCormick was named Sergeant-At-Arms for the LNOA Region 1.
