The community is invited to attend the Community Resource Fair this Thursday, August 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Minden Presbyterian Church, 1001 Broadway Street.
This free event is designed to connect residents with non-profit organizations that offer vital resources and support for those in need. From recovery and counseling services to food assistance and pregnancy loss support. A wide range of local organizations will be on hand to share information and opportunities.
Some of the organizations participating include: Mercy’s Closet, CADA (Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana), Hearts & Halos, The Dragonfly Harbor, Inc., Webster Parish Office of Community Services, Teen Challenge, Generation House, Alz Group, Helping Hands of Minden, Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry, Seeds, Women of Courage – Webster Parish and many more.
In addition to offering resources, many of these groups are also seeking volunteers, giving community members a chance to get involved and give back.
Non-profit organizations that provide services to others are encouraged to register and take part—there’s still time to sign up! For more information, contact Women of Courage – Webster Parish.
