Registration Deadline: Friday, October 3, 2025
Registration is open and deadline is coming up to register for this year’s National Night Out in Minden. Registration began September 12 and closes October 3.
Carlton “Buddy” Myles, District A Councilman and National Night Out Chairman, along with Mayor Nick Cox and the members of the City Council, invite neighborhoods City-wide to support this year’s National Night Out.
Due to conflicts, the date has been changed to Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 6 until 8 p.m.
Neighborhoods throughout the City of Minden are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out is designed to: 1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; 2) Generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts; 3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and 4) Send the message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Tuesday, October 14, neighborhoods throughout the City of Minden will be asked to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights, and spend the evening outside with their neighbors and police.
Many neighborhoods in Minden will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, visits from police, flashlight walks, contests, youth activities, and anti-crime and anti-drug rallies.
Those interested in hosting block parties may register in-person at Minden City Hall, over the phone by dialing (318) 377-2144, or online at http://www.mindenusa.com. Registration opens on Friday, September 12, 2025, and runs through 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025.
