Staff Report

Lakeside Warriors fell for the second time this season, dropping a 34-22 contest to Montgomery.

The Tigers jumped out to an early 8-0 lead before Kentravion Miller scored from 30 yards out and followed the TD with a successful two-point run to tie the game at 8-8.

Montgomery would tack on three more scores before Lakeside’s offense found paydirt again, this time doing so via a 20-yard connection from QB Brock Case to senior WR Noah Redding. Case ran in the two-point try himself on the right side to bring the score to 26-16.

Following a failed attempt at an onside kick, the Tigers needed one play to swipe the momentum back, scoring on a long run to make the score 34-16. Lakeside mounted their final scoring drive with less than 7 minutes remaining courtesy of some nice throws and catches between Case, Redding and junior Eric Jones, before Case ended the drive with a 5-yard keep to make it 34-22, where it would remain.

Lakeside (3-2) hits the road once again this week for a matchup against the Many Tigers.
