City of Minden honors Greater Minden Chamber for Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day

The Greater Minden Chamber was recently recognized by the City of Minden in honor of Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day, celebrated nationwide on October 15.

Minden Mayor Nick Cox presented an official proclamation to Greater Minden Chamber President/CEO Stephanie Barnette and Membership Engagement Coordinator Katie Tippen, acknowledging the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to support and strengthen the local business community.

“Chambers of Commerce play a vital role in building strong local economies,” Mayor Cox said. “The Greater Minden Chamber continues to connect businesses, encourage growth, and champion prosperity throughout our region.”

Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day is observed annually on the third Wednesday of October. The day serves as a reminder of the important work Chambers do to advocate for local businesses, foster partnerships, and create opportunities for community and economic development.

Barnette expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that the Chamber’s work is made possible through collaboration and community spirit. “We’re proud to serve the members who make the Greater Minden area thrive,” she said. “When you support your local Chamber, you’re investing directly in the success of your hometown.”

The Greater Minden Chamber encourages residents to celebrate by shopping local, engaging with member businesses, and continuing to invest in Greater Minden’s bright future.
