Fire Chief Brian Williams said Minden Fire Department responded to an odor of smoke and a light haze  inside Family Dollar on Homer Road around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

“After investigating, we found an electrical issue with a cooler unit,” Williams said.

There were no injuries and the business was able to resume operations after contacting a repair service.
