Downtown Minden welcomed another fresh arrival to its revitalized corridor on the back street with the ribbon-cutting of Purvéy Minden, held last Friday under the banner of creativity, design and community investment.

Owner Sara McDaniel, known for her series of glam historic renovation projects, such as Simply Southern Cottage, The Villas at Spanish Court and the Fuller-White House – has turned her attention to retail with this latest venture in the historic Turner Building on Broadway.

At Purvéy, shoppers will find a curated mix of upscale vintage clothing, re-loved furniture, vinyl records, books, décor and plants. The boutique is another step in McDaniel’s efforts to support downtown revitalization while offering Minden shoppers something unique.

“Every vintage and preloved item has a story of renewal and that’s what this shop represents to me,” said McDaniel. “When I had an opportunity to buy the old Turner building, I didn’t know what I would do with it, but it felt very fitting to open a vintage clothing shop and continue to tell stories of renovation and restoration. It truly is an honor to have opened this business in downtown historic Minden. There is so much momentum currently and I’m thrilled to be a small part of it.”

With its elegant new storefront, Purvéy is set to become a destination for those looking for retro finds and meaningful style. They are open seven days a week.
