The newly-opened boutique and community marketplace “The Willow Shed” celebrated its official ribbon-cutting recently, drawing local shoppers, business leaders and curious neighbors to its location at 457 Highway 531.

Housed in a rustic yet inviting space just outside the downtown area, the Willow Shed is already turning heads as a place where local artisans, crafters and entrepreneurs can showcase their handmade goods and vintage treasures.

According to the store’s Facebook page, The Willow Shed offers “fabulous finds and handmade designs,” from home décor and unique gifts to art, small-batch products and curated rustic charm.

At the ribbon-cutting event, members of the Greater Minden Chamber of Commerce joined in welcoming the new business, emphasizing the store’s potential to contribute to the region’s growing creative economy and to offer residents a local destination for one-of-a-kind finds.

Visitors to the Willow Shed can now browse a broad mix of locally sourced and handmade items, support small vendors and enjoy a relaxed shopping atmosphere that reflects the best of community spirit. According to the boutique’s listing on the Visit Webster Parish directory, The Willow Shed is being marketed as “one of northwest Louisiana’s most inviting new destinations.”

The store’s weekday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday hours also posted – giving locals and visitors plenty of opportunity to explore what the shop has to offer.

With its soft launch earlier this autumn and today’s formal opening, The Willow Shed seems poised to become a new staple for shopping and small-business support in Minden. For those seeking handmade gifts, home décor or a fresh look at local creativity, it’s worth a visit!
