Last year was the busiest and biggest year yet for LaMa Animal Rescue. The organization opened a  shelter and acquired a van. Major milestones they are proud to celebrate.

Along with generous contributions and commitments, LaMa couldn’t have had such a successful year without a $3,500 grant from PetCo Love to get their new (to them) van in tip-top shape. Right off the bat it needed major repairs, and the $3,500 awarded from PetCo Love in 2025 made that possible.

This van has been a blessing to LaMa – instead of being stuck taking 1 dog at a time in a compact SUV – workers can load up a whole crew and head to the vet. Anyone in rescue knows that there isn’t enough time in the day — and this investment has allowed them to cut back on back and forth driving.

Piecing things together to make this all work is the only way this could be done – and they will continue to do it in 2026. Thank you Petco Love
