Allegedly exposing his private parts, then performing a sex act in public has led to jail time and a hefty bond for a 35-year-old Minden man.
Minden Chief of Police Jared McIver said Dominic D. Washington, a resident of the 500 block of MLK Dr., is looking at charges of obscenity and possession of CDS Sch. I (marijuana) after his arrest Sunday morning.
Washington reportedly is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center under a $25,001 bond.
Officers reportedly responded to a call from a Walmart employee who was waiting in her vehicle to clock in for work shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday. As she waited, a vehicle reportedly pulled up beside her, drove forward then reversed and stopped directly in front of her.
According to the victim’s statement, the driver of the vehicle repeatedly said he was sorry before opening the driver’s side door and exposing his private parts. He then allegedly began “vigorously” masturbating in front of the victim.
Officers were provided the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle which was later identified by the store’s security cameras.
Shortly after 8 a.m., the vehicle reportedly was spotted at a truck stop off Interstate 20. After detaining the driver, and determining he had been the only person in the vehicle, officers transported the store employee to the scene where Washington was positively identified as the man who had performed the sex act.
During the initial traffic stop, Washington reportedly spontaneously admitted to officers he was in possession of a “blunt” inside the vehicle. A marijuana blunt reportedly was found in plain view in the center console area of the passenger compartment.
