A Cotton Valley woman has reportedly rolled snake-eyes with the law after allegedly using her former boyfriend’s debit card information to fund a gambling outing.
Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker said 31-year-old Stephanie Jade Taylor is being held in the parish jail where she is charged with theft for the incident which reportedly occurred earlier this month.
Investigating officer Deputy Michael Dickey reportedly learned Taylor had allegedly left her boyfriend’s home and was gone three to four days. Prior to leaving, Taylor allegedly photographed the man’s debit card.
Using the photographed information, Taylor allegedly made six transactions using CashApp to transfer a total of $270 to herself. She reportedly spent the money at a local casino.
During questioning, Taylor reportedly admitted she had taken the money without the former boyfriend’s knowledge or consent.
