The Minden Civitan Club recently celebrated the club’s 63rd Annual Clergy Appreciation Banquet at First Methodist Church.

Civilians have been honoring the area clergy for 63 years and once again, this year’s celebration was very successful.

Civitan President Steve Bryan welcomed everyone, and the banquet was under way. Next Civitan Roger Grubbs led everyone in the Pledge to our flag. The invocation was given by Civitan Johnny McCormick and a catered meal, provided by Hugh Wood, was enjoyed by everyone.

The program of the night was Christian music provided by local artist Johnny Couch. Next, Civitan Joe Holley led everyone in the Civitan Creed.

The program was concluded as Pastor Steve Berger from First Methodist Church gave the closing benediction.

Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to next year’s banquet.
