Springhill ignites Fourth of July festivities Friday

By Paige Gurgainers

Residents are invited to kick off their Fourth of July festivities with an evening of family fun, live entertainment and fireworks during Freedom Fest 2026 on Friday, July 3, at Frank Anthony Park in Springhill.

Hosted by Springhill Main Street and the Springhill-North Webster Chamber of Commerce, the free community event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. and promises something for all ages.

Families can enjoy face painting by EJ Colvin, bounce houses provided by Lay’s Leap Land and the park’s splash pad to help beat the summer heat. Food trucks, including Bayou Two, Chuck Wagon BBQ and C&V Frozen Treats, will also be on-site serving a variety of food and sweet treats throughout the evening.

The highlight of the event will be a fireworks spectacular presented by Pyromanía, which organizers say will light up the Springhill sky in one of the area’s biggest fireworks displays of the summer.

Community members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and the entire family to celebrate Independence Day in a festive and patriotic atmosphere.

The celebration doesn’t end with the fireworks. The following morning, organizers will host the Fourth of July Farmers Market on Saturday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. under the Springhill Farmers Market Pavilion. The market will feature local vendors and provide another opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy the holiday weekend while supporting local businesses and artisans.
