Concerned Citizens of Webster Parish is inviting residents to participate in a public meeting focused on local issues and the future of the parish on Thursday, July 2.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room of the Webster Parish Library, located at 521 E. and West Street in Minden.
The organization recently held its inaugural meeting last month, where residents gathered to discuss concerns facing Webster Parish and emphasized the importance of greater civic involvement and community participation in local affairs. According to organizer Terell Mendenhall, education, taxes and local government remain among the group’s top priorities.
The July meeting will continue those discussions while also focusing on envisioning and shaping the path forward for Webster Parish over the next decade. The group says its goal is to help transform Webster Parish into a more connected, resilient and vibrant community through open dialogue and civic engagement.
“Plans will not work unless we all do,” Mendenhall said in announcing the event. The session is open to all residents interested in discussing local issues and becoming more involved in the future of Webster Parish.
