An afternoon of bingo, prizes and family-friendly fun will soon benefit homeless animals in North Webster Parish as LaMa Animal Rescue prepares to host its rescheduled bingo fundraiser on Saturday, July 11, at the Springhill Civic Center.
The event, originally planned for the end of May, had to be postponed due to air conditioning issues at the civic center. Organizers are now excited to welcome the community back for an afternoon dedicated to supporting the nonprofit animal rescue organization.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., with games beginning promptly at 4:30 p.m. at the Springhill Civic Center, located at 101 Machen Drive in Springhill. Admission is $20 per person, and both cash and cards will be accepted at the door.
In addition to multiple rounds of bingo, attendees can enjoy door prizes, a dessert raffle, a purse raffle, concessions, Split the Pot and other activities throughout the evening.
LaMa Animal Rescue, a Springhill-based nonprofit, works to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need while advocating for responsible pet ownership throughout the community.
The community fundraiser has also received support from numerous local businesses and individuals. Timberland Truck Stop will sponsor the blackout round, while game sponsors include McMullan Realty, Denise Edwards, Webster Parish Assessor, Karla Benson, Voodoo Cookie Co., Sepulvado Law Firm, UnderDawgs Sports Grill, Heather Feeback, Classic Miss Louisiana, Barksdale Federal Credit Union, McConnell & Slattery, Attorneys at Law, and Carroway Motors of Minden.
Events like the bingo fundraiser not only help raise needed funds for the rescue’s operations but also bring the community together in support of local animals in need. For more information visit their Facebook page: LaMa Animal Rescue
