K-2 Car Line Changes at J.A. Phillips, New Route Explained in Video

• J.A. Phillips Elementary has changed its K-2 car line for the coming school year, and a new video walks families through the route. K-2 principal Tina Benjamin drives the full path in the video, showing each turn drivers should make on the way in. Partway along the route, drivers will stop and wait for a staff member stationed there to signal when their group of cars may proceed into the drop-off and pickup area. Benjamin says the changes are meant to make morning and afternoon traffic more convenient for families. Afternoon lineup should not begin before 2:30 p.m. Families who used the car line last year are encouraged to watch, since the route is different this year.
