Every baby’s story matters.
That’s the message behind the 2nd Annual Angel Baby Fun Run & Halo Fest, an event designed to bring hope, healing and community to families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss while helping others better understand a grief that is often carried quietly.
Hosted by Hearts & Halos: Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness, the event will take place Saturday, October 10, at Miller Quarters Park in Minden.
The morning begins with the Angel Baby Fun Run from 8:30 to 10 a.m., followed by Halo Fest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., a free community celebration open to everyone.
While the event serves as a fundraiser for Hearts & Halos, organizers say its greatest purpose is creating a place where families know they are not alone.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy family-friendly activities, live music, food vendors, community resource organizations and educational opportunities focused on pregnancy and infant loss awareness. Remembrance activities will also provide families with meaningful ways to honor babies whose lives, though brief, continue to leave lasting footprints on the hearts of those who love them.
One of the most touching parts of the event is the memorial yard sign display. Families are invited to purchase personalized signs honoring their babies, whether or not they are able to attend Halo Fest in person. Each sign will be displayed during the event as a visible reminder that every life is valued and every child is remembered.
The Angel Baby Fun Run welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels, with children 17 and younger able to participate free alongside a registered adult. Organizers hope the event becomes not only a day of remembrance but also one of encouragement, bringing together families, friends and neighbors in support of those navigating unimaginable loss.
Registration for the Fun Run, T-shirt pre-orders and memorial yard sign orders will remain open through September 18.
