There’s a lot of strange things going on with our government that would have been front page news twenty years ago, but today they’re just regular news.
Our Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth has announced a new requirement that all servicemembers over 30 must get annual testosterone testing. I’m not necessarily against it, but around half of men with low testosterone have no symptoms, and the ones that do probably already see their doctor for it. Testosterone supplements are also notorious for their side effects, so do we really want to give unnecessary prescriptions to the people defending our country? Is more Big Pharma what we need? I’m skeptical on this one.
Also, what’s going on with Mitch McConnell? He’s been absent from Senate since June 14, amid reports of ambulances at his house and then radio silence afterwards. His family claims that he is healthy and in a rehab facility waiting to be cleared to return to Senate, but nobody has heard anything from him personally. A few weeks ago, reported Laura Loomer made the claim that he is brain dead.
After this claim, the pressure was mounting for him to make an appearance to prove that he is alive. For reference, if someone is his position died before August 3, 2026, it would trigger a new special election to fill his seat and ensure that his state was represented. That’s a huge deal.
His team finally responded and released two photos of McConnell and his wife, but both of them look suspicious. Mitch looks at least ten years younger than he has in any recent photos, and users all over the internet have claimed to have found signs of image manipulation in them. His state governor, Andy Beshear, stated on July 27th that he had heard rumors of McConnell’s death, and called on him to prove that he is alive and capable of serving in Senate or resign.
At the time of writing, he has not responded, but his team was caught using his auto pen to sign a document the very next day. Which, if he is not alive, would be a massive issue.
And finally, the weirdest thing that’s happened in our government recently is the House of Representatives passing the 2027 NDAA bill, which includes a section that would merge the US and Israeli military, including our weapons tech and intelligence, which would end the US’s supreme military advantage against the rest of the world.
I know a lot of my readers still support Israel as our ally, but come on, there’s a difference in helping them out sometimes and giving a foreign nation our biggest secrets and vulnerabilities. In addition, Israeli military personnel would be able to give orders to our troops, and I am vehemently offended by the entire idea of that.
Thankfully, the bill has not passed Senate yet. I pray it doesn’t pass without that section being removed. A foreign government controlling our soon-to-be-roid-raging troops is a spectacle I hope I don’t ever have to see. Who knows if Mitch McConnell will or not? All I know is things are still weird, and getting weirder every day.
