A third suspect in the Friday, May 29 shooting which wounded a Minden man has been arrested.
Chief of Police Jared McIver said 26-year-old Marcus Shun Smith has been charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder and assault by drive-by shooting for the nighttime incident at Talton and Peach streets.
Smith reportedly was picked up last week on an arrest warrant. He is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center under a $900,000 bond.
Just hours after the shooting, police arrested their first suspect, 23-year-old Kendrick Taylor Jr. He has been charged with three counts of attempted second degree murder and one count assault by drive-by shooting. He remains in the parish prison under a $950,000 bond.
Xavier Warren, a 24-year-old Minden resident, turned himself in to police one week later and is now being held for three counts as principal to assault by drive-by shooting. He is still in custody under a $900,000 bond.
McIver said detectives have recovered the weapon used in the shooting.
