Local ministers, community leaders team up for breakfast

By Paige Gurgainers

Local ministers and community leaders will once again come together for the annual Minden Ministers Breakfast on Tuesday, August 18, continuing a tradition centered on fellowship, communication and a shared commitment to the Minden community.

Over the years, the Ministers Breakfast has become an anticipated gathering, providing an opportunity for local church and city leaders to sit down together, exchange information and discuss the issues, opportunities and needs facing their congregations and the community as a whole.

While each church represented may serve different congregations and communities, the annual breakfast creates a space for those leaders to connect around a common goal… making Minden a stronger, more informed and more connected place to call home.

The gathering has also become known for being an informative one, allowing those in attendance to hear from fellow leaders, learn more about what is happening throughout the area and identify ways local churches can work together to better serve Minden residents.

Beyond sharing information, the breakfast offers something that can sometimes be difficult to find in the middle of busy schedules: an opportunity for the people leading Minden’s faith communities to simply spend time together.

The annual event serves as a reminder of the important role local churches and their leaders play throughout Minden, not only within the walls of their individual churches, but through outreach, service and support across the community.

The Minden Ministers Breakfast will be held Tuesday, August 18. Additional information regarding the gathering may be shared with participating ministers and church leaders.
