
Javelin Hardy is proud resident of Minden, La and a candidate for City Council-District C #108 on the ballot. She is committed to listening, serving, and delivering practical solutions for the community. With a deep love for her hometown and a strong belief in honesty, accessible leadership, she is running to help build a safer, stronger, and more vibrant city for families, seniors, small businesses, and future generations.
Her commitment to public service is rooted in the community that helped become a Social Worker for 34 years. She has her master’s degree and social work, she has over 34 years experience were working with multiple platforms, such as mental health, social justice, hospitals, recovery programs, parole and probation and community colleges. She believes in change for anyone that has had a felony or served any type of prison time deserves the opportunity to change their life around. She served in the Army National Guard and has over 15 years experience working with veterans. She is a leader in public speaker and experience working in policies and procedures. She is a trauma informed care trainer, and practitioner. She would love to bring those services to the City of Minden.
Growing up in Minden, Javelin Hardy learned the value of hard work, neighborly kindness, and looking out for one another. She remembers the people who invested in her, the local places that shaped her, and the lessons she learned from watching families, teachers, business owners, and community leaders give their time and energy to make the city better. Those experiences gave her a lasting appreciation for what makes District C special—and a deep sense of responsibility to help protect and strengthen it.
Through her experience in Social Work and Human Services for 34 years her professional background/community service/volunteer work, Javelin Hardy has seen firsthand the challenges residents face and the opportunities that come when neighbors work together. Her campaign is focused on improving housing stability, supporting responsible growth, strengthening city services, encouraging transparency in local government, services in our area such as a pharmacy, daycare and clinic, having access to a local grocery store, and making sure every resident has a voice at City Hall.
As City Council, Javelin Hardy will bring energy, integrity, and a servant’s heart to the job. She believes leadership starts with showing up, listening carefully, and working hard every day to earn the trust of the people she represents. Her goal is simple: “Reviving District C!
