
A Bossier City man is behind bars in Webster Parish following his arrest for attempting to make off with more than $1,500 in merchandise from a local retailer.
Chief of Police Jared McIver said Nathan Edward Webb, 38, is charged with felony theft, criminal trespass and on three active felony warrants from the Bossier City PD after his Friday arrest.
Officers responded to a reported theft at Walmart just after 5:30 p.m. Friday and learned Webb had been seen on surveillance cameras taking multiple items and concealing those items on his person.
In addition to two packages of sandwich meat Webb allegedly placed in the cargo pockets of his shorts, he was in possession of a graphics card and multiple packs of Pokemon cards. Items reportedly stolen totaled $1,560.54.
Webb is currently being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. No bond has been set.
