The Dorcheat Historical Association and Museum, Inc. will host its annual fundraiser gala at the museum, located at 116 Pearl Street at 6 p.m. Monday, September 14. As a nonprofit organization, the museum relies on the financial support of the community. All proceeds directly fund operation of the museum and the preservation of our local history.
In honor of our country’s 250th birthday and to coincide with the opening of an exhibit featuring the Patriot ancestors of the Dorcheat-Bistineau Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, the theme for the evening is “Celebrating Our American Heritage.”
This year’s gala will feature a sweets ‘n treats auction conducted by “Dr. Feelgood” Richard Campbell and Tracy Campbell. Donated cakes and other baked goods will be on the auction block all night long. So come for some fun and bring your sweet tooth and pocketbook. Cost is $25 per person in advance or $30 at the door. Refreshments will be provided. Dress will be casual. Everyone is invited to attend.

Silent auction items include a one-night stay at the The Villas at Spanish Court, diamond ring, necklace, antique clock, Dooney & Bourke bag, German cuckoo clock, Reed & Barton flatware set, 1966 Enid Collins Box Bag, a beautiful alligator painting donated by local artist Jennifer Heard, and more!
