The coming of Fall marks the beginning of Friday morning Bible study for ladies and a coed Monday night Bible study class. Roberta Kitchens has been the teacher for this time of in-depth Bible study for over fifty years. Mrs. Kitchens attended L.S.U.,majoring in history with an emphasis in Western civilization, which helped prepare her for her passion of Bible times and places. In addition to her college studies, she was under the tutelage of her mother Grace Carroll, herself a well-known author and Bible teacher in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Kitchens has been teaching Bible for over sixty years. This will be Roberta’s twelfth time teaching this mysterious book.
“The Dragon and the Lamb” will be the title of the study, looking at the eternal battle of good and evil. A workbook is available for $10 in the office of First Baptist Church. The study is completely nondenominational, and people of all church affiliation are welcome. The patio door to the reception room will be open. The Monday class for ladies begins Friday morning, September 11th at 9:30. Come a little early to register and enjoy cookies and coffee. The Monday night class for men and women begins September 14th at 6:30, come early for registration and a light supper. Just Come!
