At approximately 2:40 p.m. Friday, August 28, Springhill Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 200 block of 9th Street SW where a wood frame house was fully involved in fire. 

Incident commander requested State Fire Marshal at 3:10 p.m.

Soon after, assististant Chief Craig Edwards arrived on scene and took over the incident commander. 

In addition to Springhill, Cullen, Shongaloo and Northeast Bossier were called to the scene to assist.

According to Edwards, the fire marshal narrowed down the origin and cause to the clothes dryer.
