Former Webster Parish deputy Spencer White pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge, while four felony charges against him were dismissed in 26th Judicial District Court on Aug. 24.
According to court records, White pled guilty to criminal mischief by filing a false report.
District Judge Michael Craig deferred a six-month Webster Parish Jail sentence pursuant to Article 894 and placed White on two years of active, supervised probation. White was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and court costs or serve 90 days in jail, along with a $100 monthly probation fee.
The dismissed felonies were one count of filing or maintaining false public records under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:133 and three counts of forgery under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:72(A).
White’s case stems from an investigation by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation after Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker requested assistance regarding allegations of official misconduct involving the White.
According to an October 2025 news release from Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office, investigators alleged White used state law-enforcement databases to obtain a private citizen’s criminal history, driver’s license records and other protected information without a legitimate law-enforcement purpose.
The information was allegedly printed and emailed from White’s official Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office email account to an out-of-state family member. The person whose information was accessed was classified as a protected person and had recently been the victim of domestic violence battery in Caddo Parish, according to the release.
The investigation also uncovered a separate incident involving White’s alleged unauthorized use of state law-enforcement databases, the release states.
White was fired from the Sheriff’s Office after the incident was discovered, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
He was arrested in late October 2025, and booked at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the 26th Judicial District Court.
