Minden Medical Center has implemented the TekTone® Tek-CARE®400 GEN3 Nurse Call System, providing the hospital with an advanced communications platform designed to strengthen communication between patients and caregivers while supporting efficient clinical response.
Designed for today’s healthcare environments, Tek-CARE®400 GEN3 combines reliable nurse call functionality with an advanced system architecture engineered for improved audio quality, increased capacity, simplified installation and service, and long-term scalability.
“Providing our caregivers with reliable technology is an important part of delivering high-quality patient care,” said Keith Cox, CEO of Minden Medical Center. “The Tek-CARE®400 GEN3 system gives our team an effective communication tool that helps connect patients with staff when assistance is needed.”
Local Installation and Ongoing Support
The Tek-CARE®400 GEN3 system was installed by Storm Security a TekTone Elite Partner (TEP). As a factory-trained TekTone Elite Partner, Storm Security provides the expertise and local support needed to install, service and maintain TekTone healthcare communication systems.
In addition to completing the installation at Minden Medical Center, Storm Security will provide ongoing service and support for the new Tek-CARE®400 GEN3 system, giving the hospital a trusted local resource for its nurse call communication needs.
“TekTone’s Elite Partner network is an important part of how we support our customers,” said Brad Hyder of TekTone. “Storm Security brings both product knowledge and local service expertise to Minden Medical Center, helping ensure the hospital has support well beyond the initial installation.”
Advanced Communication for Patient Care
Tek-CARE®400 GEN3 is UL® 1069 Listed and incorporates an advanced digital audio architecture designed to provide clear communication between patients and caregivers.
The GEN3 platform uses enhanced processing capabilities and digital signal processing (DSP) to deliver improved audio performance throughout the nurse call system. Its architecture provides individual audio connections to stations, helping create clear and dependable communication at the point of care.
The system is also designed with reliability in mind. Individual stations connect directly to Tek-CARE® hubs, helping simplify system communication and troubleshooting while reducing the impact that a single component issue can have on the overall system.
Designed for Reliability and Serviceability
Tek-CARE®400 GEN3 provides a flexible architecture that can accommodate healthcare facilities of varying sizes and support future expansion as needs change.
The system’s hub-based design allows sections of the nurse call system to be installed, configured and serviced efficiently. Direct station-to-hub connections also help technicians identify and address issues while minimizing disruption to other areas of the system.
GEN3 supports up to 250 hubs, providing the capacity needed for larger installations while maintaining the flexibility to expand the system over time.
“Technology plays an important role in supporting both our patients and our clinical staff,” said Keith Cox, CEO. “Having a reliable nurse call platform helps our caregivers stay connected to patients and supports our commitment to providing responsive, compassionate care.”
Third floor nurse station staff are the second area to use the new system as technicians from Storm Medical Equipment check the wiring and Minden Medical Center’s Plant Operations Director, Wade Litton inspects the system.
