Hearts & Halos: Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness is calling on local businesses, organizations and individuals to help put “Hope in Motion” by sponsoring its second annual Angel Baby Fun Run and Halo Fest.
The community event will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Miller Quarters Park in Minden. Created as a day of remembrance, hope and healing, the event will honor babies gone too soon while supporting families affected by pregnancy and infant loss.
Sponsorships will help Hearts & Halos continue providing Healing Bags and Canvases, remembrance events, educational outreach and other forms of support for grieving families. Organizers hope community partners will recognize that their contributions represent more than financial support; they allow families to feel seen, remembered and surrounded by their community during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Local artist and community advocate Chris Broussard has already stepped forward as the event’s first Hope Sponsor.
Additional sponsors are now needed to help make this year’s event possible. Businesses, civic organizations, churches and individuals are encouraged to join Broussard in supporting the mission and helping Hearts & Halos expand its reach to more families.
The family-friendly Angel Baby Fun Run will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Adult registration is required, while children ages 17 and younger may participate free of charge.
Following the run, Halo Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will also be free for the public to attend. Activities will include local and food vendors, live music by DJ Derrick, cornhole and yard games, a pumpkin patch healing activity, community resources and a bubble release honoring angel babies.

Together, the community can help ensure that every baby is remembered and every grieving family knows it does not have to walk alone.
